I actually enjoy choosing ONE word for a whole year. We have such busy lifes , that it feels great just to concentrate on one word besides all the noise and craziness that we can create for ourselfs.

For 2019 my word was SKILLS. I felt that I my painting skills were not improving and that I needed to invest in classes, exercises and simply getting out of my comfort zone to do that. Here is what I did:

I did not plan what type of classes I was going to take.

I had always admired people sketching ‘ on the go’ but never had the courage to do so. Last January I took an online class in Urban sketching.

…and off I am ever since! What an incredible discovery…I realized that it gives me such a break, it has even something meditative about it.

and a workshop with Felix Scheinberger in Berlin

I also took a class with Amirah Rahim about abstract art

Now it is time to think (or feel) what the next year could be about….hmmm a world started popping up in my mind….ART BUSINESS… I am a complete mess when it gets to be organized, I will make an effort this year. It is going to be a busy year!!!.
